Mrs. Lisa Gibbs is proud to say that she has been a part of the Clinton family for five years, as a Special Education teacher. She currently teaches grades 7 and 8.
Mrs. Gibbs was born in Gainesville, Florida, but has lived most of her life here in Chicago. She graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, along with certification in the area of Special Education. She also holds an endorsement in Junior High Social Sciences. She recently completed her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, and is currently seeking National Board Certification.
Mrs. Gibbs has wanted to be a teacher for as long as she can remember. She believes that every child is special, with his or her own unique talents, and is capable of achieving their dreams. Besides helping her students reach their academic goals, she hopes to instill in each of them confidence, compassion, and an enthusiasm for learning.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two teenage children, reading, painting and watching movies.
